• In 1955 the average life expectancy for a male was 68.2 years.
• Einstein was an avid pipe smoker who enjoyed four to five bowls a day.
• In 1950 at the age 71 and while receiving an award he said, “I believe that pipe smoking contributes to a somewhat calm and objective judgment in all human affairs.” Maybe he did try to tell us but we weren’t listening.
