Product Details

1792-single Barrel

This single-barrel release is the third in the historic brand's limited edition series. Select barrels of this "high rye" straight bourbon are chosen from their Bardstown, Kentucky warehouse by Master Distiller Ken Pierce. Each barrel is then bottled individually.

Tasting Notes

  • Appearance: Luscious, tawny, perfectly clear.

  • Nose: Sweet butterscotch with lots of lemon, citrus. Light notes of ginger, honey, and Fuji apple pervade.

  • Palate: Caramel-forward, candy-like but with the obvious bite and heat of a rye. Young wood (sawdust) and gently roasted almonds dance alongside specks of Meyer lemon. The body is medium-thin, lingering slightly but not blasting your palate. The overall mix is good, but it does have a sharp, alcoholic bite at the end.
