LAGUNITAS CENSORED Allow me to begin by saying that I feel the overall rating of 89 this beer receives is much too low given the blending of the many facets it showcases. It pours a gorgeous copper color, but the khaki head dissipates way too quickly. Otherwise, this would be an attractive pour. A bit of Chardonnay and dark fruit on the nose. The mouthfeel is extraordinary. The light oiliness blends well with the carbonation, avoiding localization of either. Cranberry and cherry emerge as the dominant flavors. Lightly bitter hoppiness presents seemlessly toward the finish. A magnificently engineered beer.
