Brick House Cigars by J.C. Newman Cigars
The Brick House brand was created in 1937 by Julius Caeser Newman, founder of the J.C. Newman Cigar Company. He named the cigars to honor his family home in the Hungarian countryside; a brick house that housed the Newman family residence on the top floor and a local tavern they ran on the bottom floor. Original Brick House cigars were made using Cuban tobacco. The brand faded in time, but in 2009 it was revived by third generation owners Eric and Bobby Newman using Nicaraguan tobaccos
One of J.C. Newman’s earliest brands was Brick House. With the imposing brick house featured prominently in the label, J. C. lunched this brand to honor his family heritage and his beloved childhood memories.
The vintage Brick House Cigar label depicts the pastoral setting similar to J.C. Newman’s childhood hoe – the only brick house in this village.
Not only did J.C. Newman’s brick house serve as the family residence, but it was also the town’s tavern. There, locals and visitors alike gathered nightly to eat, drink, smoke, and enjoy each other’s company.

Third-generation cigar makers, Eric and Bobby Newman, have recreated this vintage cigar brand by blending specially aged Nicaraguan tobaccos with hearty Havana Subido wrapper leaves to match the rich, well-balance flavor of their grandfathers Brick House cigars.
Handmade in Nicaragua, these flavorful cigars are designed to be enjoyed and shared with friends
