Product Details

Bitterness is a bit more forward in the flavor, with a wave of grassy, floral and perhaps even piney hop resins up front. The malt bill is also notably deeper than pale malts, with a more rugged texture, it still manages for clean drinking. It finishes off mildly dry with a hint of bready rye for some depth and a clean floral hop note with a mild lingering bitterness. Im pleased to have a local brewed IPA with a fair balance between hop and malt character. Neither go over the top but both certainly are telling of their components, and gel together nicely. Texture is largely smooth with a touch of mild grain around the edges. Carbonation is fuzzy and crisp, a bit too invasive in places. Body is medium+ for a standard American IPA, shy of medium overall. Alcohol presence is light. There arent too many glaring off characters in this beer, yet a choice of exclusively passive hop characters doesnt do the best job at covering some points of alcohol. Overall this is a decentconstructed IPA. My favorite part is the malt character, it could have been far blander than it was. The hop selection is a combination of mild alpha hops for a passive hop flavor and bitterness.
