Product Details

The initial whiff had TONS of grapefruit, and sweet citrus aroma! TONS! As the pint went on though, that aroma diminished heavily. But, yeah, the initial smell was just classic American IPA all the way...and it was good. The first sip had resistance the firm head pushed back, with its thick, creamy texture. Just an excellent mouthfeel...so smooth and creamy. Medium bodied beer. Solid IPA with a good balance and even bitterness. There was a gentle yet lingering bite in the finish. Notes of Citrus rind & breadlike malts. Excellent balance.Solid all around. This is nothing that stands out of the pack in the IPA category, but it is dead on for the style and does it much justice. Very tasty IPA, well crafted, and very worthy of a high score.

Westbook IPA

A base of pale, Munich, and Carapils malts is just enough to contain the massive hop flavor and aroma packed into this highly drinkable IPA. A blend of four American hop varieties is added four times in the kettle and twice in the fermentor for a complex and layered hop experience. Best served at 45-50˚F in a tulip or English style pint glass.
