Clear bright copper (SRM 15) after the cascading head settles to one inch creamy beige. Fine carbonation and lace coat the Harp nonic glass while the head maintains itself throughout the session.
Sweet malt with honeydew melon and fresh, crisp, light floral notes. Some honey and toffee may be detected with warmth.
Sweet on entry with astringent bitterness in the middle, lingering well into a long finish. Toasted malt adds to the clearly graincentric flavors while fruitiness and bready flavors may also be detected.
Silky smooth, perhaps even slick, with a creamy head and fine carbonation. A medium body with some astringency while the alcohol is barely noticeable.
This is a decent gateway beer and, in my opinion, better than the typical massproduced offerings. It has enough character to be interesting, yet is reserved enough to be enjoyed after a frustrating day of work.
