Koko Buni is our milk porter (6.8%) brewed with toasted coconut, cocoa nibs, coffee and vanilla. The flavors are rich and velvety – perfect for cooler days and evenings. As with most of our brews, a key characteristic of Koko Buni is balance in flavor. None of the flavors are overpowering or fatiguing on the palate.
We sourced both the coffee and cocoa nibs locally. The coffee is an Ethiopian blend from 1000 Faces Coffee and the cocoa nibs are Ecuadorian from local bean-to-bar chocolatier, Condor Chocolates. In addition, Condor Chocolates created a Koko Buni chocolate bar incorporating 1000 Faces coffee to accompany the beer. 1000 Faces Coffee will also offer the coffee used in the brew as a limited edition Koko Buni coffee blend. Partial proceeds from the chocolate and coffee will go towards local nonprofits through the brewery’s Get Comfortable fund & will be available for our Koko Buni Kick Off tour.
