Product Details

Malt texture is slick, very light syrup drizzle with a mild fuzzy dryness. Carbonation adds an expected dose of fizz and fluff, not overly done. The body is medium for a saison, medium+ overall. Alcohol presence is light. Drinkability is, as Ive mentioned before, hampered somewhat by the acidity and tartness of this beer. The texture is fine for the style. 3.75 Terrapin seems to have a love affair with Peaches, and this beer demonstrates that peaches actually do have a tart, zesty side opposite of the dreaded thick, viscous heavy peach syrup that makes it a great candidate for a Farmhouse choice fruit. On a critical level, I found this beer very tart, acidic and dry, the combination of all three of these factors limits drinkability, which is a shame for such a drinkable style. Id like to see a touch more fruit sweetness or malt body brought into this, and I think that would work wonders for the recipe of this beer. 3.5

Maggie’s Peach Farmhouse Ale Just Like Grandma Use to Brew!

The newest addition to our Season Sessions line is Maggie’s Peach Farmhouse Ale. This refreshing summer offering has all the flavor and aroma of a freshly picked peaches (to the tune of 1,000 pounds per 100 barrel batch!) combined with the complexity of a well executed farmhouse ale. Some of you may remember Maggie’s older sister, Side Project Volume 7, one of Spike’s first first foray into farmhouse ales. This newest version is just as lovely, should age just as well and has the uniquely GA flavor of fresh summer peaches!
