Thinking caldera was uniquely defined by the volcano feature, I was surprised to find the dictionary telling me that the term came from the Spanish word for cauldron, hence the image on the cans. Anyway, this stuff pours a clear sunshine amber topped by a finger of lightly offwhite foam. The nose comprises mildlysweet biscuit, pine, and plenty of flowers. Something about these Caldera beers, they all have a pleasant floral quality. The taste brings in more of the same, along with a hint of lemon peel in the background. The body is a rather light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sort of/kind of drying finish.
