Product Details

The nose is floral and citrus hops on top of a caramel backbone. Little earthy. Getting some sweet brown sugar in there also. Pungent potent hop onslaught on the tongue. Oily, bitter, resinous hops. Pretty boozy. . Its actually pretty malty when you stop and try to think past the hops. Dry aftertaste, lingering bitterness. Pretty full body, velvety mouth feel. If I have one complaint it would be that the carbonation in the mouth feel could be a little crisper. When I said early that there is lingering bitterness, I was understating that. Havent taken a sip in 10 minutes, yet it tastes like I just did. The 10.5 abv become evident pretty quick. Very warming feeling pretty quickly. This is an extremely flavorful, delicious IPA to say the least. As big and bad ass as it is I find myself almost wanting to call it well balanced. Its got a crazy hop kick to the teeth but the sweet malt back drop holds up nicely to it. This is a wow beer.

Stone RuinTen IPA

We first released this decidedly indelicate beer in 2012, as Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our belovedly bitter Stone Ruination IPA. Stone RuinTen IPA uses the same recklessly hoppy recipe as the 2012 release; only the name has changed, as we plan to unleash this belligerently delicious hop monster upon the public annually from now on. We packed a whopping five pounds of hops into each barrel, and cranked up the ABV to stand up to the hop onslaught. The results are glorious, and we know you'll rejoice in tasting this audacious gem of hoppy splendor once again. You're welcome.
