This has everything that one would expect from a DIPA. Exceptional mouthfeel with a nice, citrusy and grassy flavour. Tremendous bitterness on the front end, and it most decidedly lingers throughout consumption. Most refreshing to find an IPA lately that actually delivers on the hop profile. So many DIPA imposters have presented way too much malt for my palate. For example, Thomas Creek Extreme. Regarding Westbrook overall I have never had a beer of theirs that I did not like!
Fresh grapefruit rinds, maybe some sweeter citrus flavors (mango/orange), sweet caramel malts still find a way into the nose. Pretty much smells like your standard fantastic citrus
