Product Details

Strangers pours a slightly hazy dark gold/light amber and is topped by a foamy head of about two fingers that sticks around and leaves some okay lacing behind. Small, sporadic bubbles rise to the top.The nose on this isnt quite what I expected and reminds me more of a lager, surprisingly. The hop aromas are more floral and herbal than citrus, and the malts are more grainy than sweet. Its still pretty welldeveloped and balanced with some slight fruity esters, but it definitely threw me off. A slight citrus note hangs in the background with a note of spice and rye. Definitely not typical, but still nice.Stranger, though not the usual APA, is still refreshing. With a zesty floral bitterness over the tongue on the front, a grainy malt presence comes in slowly before the hops take over again on a slightly citrusy bitter finish, dry and short. Not bad. Its refreshing and has the bitterness quotient to fit into its category, but its not the usual APA.

FRIEND OR FOE?

Sane or senseless? Harmless or harmful? Sometimes it takes awhile to get to know a stranger.

Initial impressions are not always reality, so you must delve deeper. Beyond the initial floral hop aromas, malt sweetness is revealed, yet with a spicy undertone that exposes a very rye sense of humor. Take your time to get to know the Stranger. It’s strangely satisfying.
