Comes out of the tap a beautiful, barely transparent chocolaty brown with a finebubbled light tan head that leaves exceptionally generous lacing. Chocolaty, malty aroma has a hint of caramel and is slightly sweet and very appealing. Rich, very pleasing flavor has malty and chocolaty tones with hints of caramel and wood. Texture has good body and plenty of fizz. I have spent months trying to catch this one, and it was well worth the hunt.

Watership Brown Ale

Watership Brown is Red Hare’s hopped up brown ale. Medium brown in color, this beer starts off with an almost nutty nose. The initial taste is very sweet and then followed by the roasted character of the darker grains used in this beer. At roughly 55 IBU’s the hop character is very noticeable but not overpowering and balances with the 7.2% ABV for a slightly sweet, somewhat hoppy, and definitely roasted finish.
