Im very surprised by the low rates for this fine ale. I found it to have an excellent aroma, firm head, great color, and a balanced bitterness. I also like an ale that is not excessively alcoholic. This is an ale you could enjoy throughout the evening. My personal assessments for pale ales and IPAs are almost always well aligned with those from Beer Advocate. This is the biggest exception by far. I will buy this ale again!

Woodland Pass IPA

Originally developed for British sailors stationed in India, IPAs were aggressively hopped to help prevent spoilage on long ocean voyages. Now that spoilage isn't as big a problem, we've eased up on the hoppiness just a hair to let the caramel malts shine through. It's a big beer with big flavor that really lets you appreciate hops in all their glory.
