The new LeBijou 1992 Toro cigar has an all-Nicaraguan blend. The wrapper is dark, called Habano Oscuro by the company. The original My Father has Nicaraguan filler and binder leaves, but an Ecuadoran wrapper grown from Habano seed.

Le Bijou is French for the jewel, and 1922 refers to the year Jose Pepin Garcias father was born. The original My Father was created in secret by Pepins son Jaime, who conceived of the cigar as a tribute to his father. This new creation is Pepins way of honoring his own father.

The new cigars have an all-Nicaraguan blend. The wrapper is dark, called Habano Oscuro by the company. The original My Father has Nicaraguan filler and binder leaves, but an Ecuadoran wrapper grown from Habano seed.

The My Father Le Bijou 1922 Toro has a Pelo de Oro wrapper, which is a Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro leaf, which melds well with the Nicaraguan filler to create a powerhouse of a cigar. It starts off sweet and smooth with cocoa notes and builds in strength with pepper and rich tobacco flavors as you go. When the thick smoke coats your palate, you know that this cigar is a gem. The even burn leaves a thick white ash that makes smoking this one a thing of beauty. The My Father Le Bijou Toro is one that I will go back to time and time again. Enjoy!!
